Lambeth Council have allocated £35,000 towards community-led events commemorating the 75th anniversary of Windrush 2023 in Lambeth. The fund aims to offer a wide and diverse programme of activity to the local community.
The Brixton Project are managing the application process however an external judging panel will allocate the funds to ensure transparency and equity.
The Brixton Project are here to support you in making your applications, and will answer any related questions at their next Windrush ’75 Community Briefing online on Friday 21 April at 12pm.
They appreciate the 22 June is fast approaching and have been working closely with Lambeth’s Events Team to ensure your applications are processed in a timely manner.
Lambeth Events Application Process
Any event applications to EventLambeth will be expected to:
- Fill out a Lambeth event application
- Provide the following documents:
- Site plan
- Event management Plan
- Risk Assessment
- Public Liability & Employers Liability Insurance Proof
- If food or drink is being provided, there is an additional process for licensing and Food Health & Safety
Deadline for these applications is 8th May
This only applies to events in parks, open spaces and street parties.
