TFL would like to remind Londoners that travel on the transport network is only for critical workers making absolutely essential journeys.
To help reduce the spread of Coronavirus no-one else should be using the transport network. The number of people using Tube and rail services has plummeted by around 95 percent and the number using the buses by around 85 per cent.
However, even more people need to stop travelling and stay at home. It is essential that everyone follows the Mayor and Government instruction and does not return to the transport network over the weekends. Some stations are still seeing too many passengers including Brixton.
Overall footfall in Brixton is falling – which means our local community are listening to the government advise and helping to slow the spread of coronavirus. Thank you!
