Powering Brixton

Next week, from 18 September 2023 our renewal ballot will begin! It’s your chance to vote yes to support your Business Improvement District, business community and local economy. All members should have received the notice of our renewal ballot and the proposal document ‘Powering Brixton’ by now with the voting papers issued on the 18th September.

A decade ago, Brixton businesses joined forces to harness the collective power of a single voice and created the BID. Together, we delivered a programme of improvements, we celebrated our multicultural community, and we fostered our inclusive business district. Yet, more achievements lie ahead of us with the next chapter powered by you.

In September 2023, make sure our collective force continues for another five years by voting yes in the renewal ballot. By powering Brixton, the possibilities are endless.

We are a not for-profit organisation fully funded and led by you, our local business members. Since our inception in January 2014, the Brixton BID has invested in excess of £4m between direct investment and external sources. Our five-year plan has been informed by you, read more about our plans for the next term inside this month’s newsletter.

We would like to invite all of our members to our Renewal Ballot Launch event onThursday 14 September from 5pm at Bellefields, Stockwell Avenue. This will be an opportunity to see our updated brand identity, hear more about our plans for the next five year term, meet other local businesses and speak with our team. Click below to RSVP.
