So that there can be minimal disruption, SGN have carefully consulted and planned our works in partnership with TfL and Lambeth Borough Council. The Brixton Road project will start on 31 July and last approximately seven months. The works will be progressing southwards down the A23 Brixton Road from Camberwell New Road towards Wynne Road in two phases. More information can be found on their dedicated project page here.
SGN have also organised a drop-in session in The Debenture Room at The Kia Oval, Kennington, London, SE11 5SS on Monday 3 July, so they can explain more about their work. You are welcome to attend at any time between 2pm and 8pm.
Members of SGN’s project team will be on hand to answer questions and talk through their plans in more detail. If you are unable to attend the drop-in session but would still like to meet SGN to discuss their work in more detail, please let Dan Edwards (Stakeholder Engagement Support Manager) know by emailing him at dan.edwards@sgn.co.uk.
We understand that people can get frustrated by roadworks. However, SGN have assured that the new plastic pipe has a minimum lifespan of 80 years. This means that when the work is complete, London residents will continue to enjoy the benefits of a safe and reliable gas supply for years to come.
Please share this information with anyone who you believe may be impacted by our work.
