“The concept of a local business community has never been more important. Supporting businesses in the local Brixton area has always been a continuous focus of the BRIXTON BID.
With the launch of the Brixton BID Local Business Directory #BrixtonLocal, the Brixton BID is again putting energy and resources into the business community. The COVID 19 pandemic is putting our business community under even more financial pressures. The list of local businesses in the Brixton Local directory is not exhaustive, our task in these times is to assist consumers and members of the public to safely and responsibly access local businesses allowed to remain open, to offer services needed by our local communities.
Businesses in our directory are being encouraged to deliver these much-needed services in the safest possible environment, encouraging customers to keep adequate social distancing and shopping only when necessary. All local businesses that remain open are currently offering delivery services and/or take away options only.
Essential businesses such as supermarkets and pharmacies as well as fresh fruit and vegetables shops are offering a crucial pipeline for shoppers. They will all be paying attention to the needs of exceptional key workers who are shopping local.
Many of our businesses have had to change their offerings to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic but you can still support many of them. Use our growing local directory to shop local and STAY SAFE.”
